Hey,

Welcome to Crafty on Purpose

I’m marlene!

My most toxic trait? Constantly thinking, “I can make that!”

I’m not an expert— and I’m okay with that. For me, crafting isn’t about perfection. It’s about giving myself permission to create just because I enjoy it. It’s getting to slow down, stopping the scroll, and making something with my hands.

And let’s be honest, there’s nothing like someone complimenting your keychain and getting to say, “Thanks, I made it.”

Crafting isn’t just another hobby. It’s a way to reconnect with yourself and others when life feels too loud.

Why i create

Creating is my love language.

I love making personalized items that others can cherish. I get so much joy out of taking simple, often old materials and turning them into something meaningful. But crafting isn’t just about what I give to others— it’s also how I give back to myself.

I’m a recovering perfectionist. Instead of creating for perfection, I create to overcome it. Crafting helps me unwind, quiet overthinking, and find a moment of stillness after a long day.
